Mondo TV Studios is part of the Mondo TV Group, a leading European company in the production and distribution of audiovisual content. Our company operates in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Latin America and the Spanish-speaking markets of the United States.
Mondo TV Studios was born from the union of Mondo TV Iberoamérica and Mondo TV Producciones Canarias, merging the vast experience and powerful networks of our distribution and commercial arms with the creativity and innovation of our production and animation services.
Our strengths include:
- Highly competitive production capabilities in 2D pre-production digital services and 3D CGI animation
- A strategic location in the Canary Islands, which has a powerful framework of tax incentives for audiovisual production in the form of tax rebates and tax credits of up to 50%
- Deep knowledge of the market and the needs of traditional TV and OTT platforms
- Key positioning for the distribution of content to Spain, Italy and, exclusively, Latin America and the Spanish-speaking US
Our history dates back to January 2008. We began in Madrid as Mondo TV Spain SL, a subsidiary of Mondo TV SpA. Our initial activity involved the distribution in the Iberian and Latin American markets of the animation catalogue of our parent company. In 2016, we changed our corporate name, becoming Mondo TV Iberoamérica SA and entering into a completely new phase for the company and the entire Group. This started with the co-production of youth fiction series with well-known Latin American partners. We also entered the Spanish stock market, through the BME Growth market; this was a major early milestone and helped to chart the future of our company. During that same year, in line with our expansion plans, we created Mondo TV Producciones Canarias SL, an innovative pre-production studio based in Tenerife. From the beginning Mondo TV Producciones Canarias SL sought to establish itself as an international hub for the creation, development and production of high-quality fiction and animation projects for the entire Group. The studio has grown exponentially. In 2020, its production capacity expanded, allowing it to offer CGI animation as well as a variety of animation services to third parties.
In September 2021, the merger of our two companies into a single entity, Mondo TV Studios SA, was formalized. This merger is part of the natural evolution of a business whose aim is to consolidate its position as an international centre for high-quality productions.
Currently, Mondo TV Studios focuses on a number of lines of business, with a strong emphasis on providing 2D and 3D animation services to third parties as well as being part of major international co-productions. These co-productions range from animation for children and fiction for adolescents, families and adults to forays into new segments such as video games. All are offered through a large number of commercial and media channels, including linear TV, OTT and streaming.
More about us.
At Mondo TV Studios we aim to become a strategic partner in the production of content, both 2D and 3D animation and fiction. We seek to expand and increase our animation services to third parties, as well as the creation of our own IPs, through strategic international co-productions, establishing solid relationships with creative, commercial and financial partners.
Any successful project requires a focus on specific details as well as overall aims. We apply our passion for excellence to both. We want Mondo TV Studios to be recognized internationally as a centre of excellence in producing a broad portfolio of high-quality entertainment content.
We have a local soul, but an international outlook. We are part of a well-known and respected Group. We know and value teamwork and the spirit of collaboration. We are a multidisciplinary team, a team that brings together many values: transparency, creativity, innovation, and dynamism, as well as a strong awareness of, and sensitivity towards, environmental sustainability.
